Come study in one of the cultural, political and economic hot spots of Europe. German cities offer an exciting contemporary backdrop for your study and not far from the cities you will find diverse landscapes, with something for everyone. Programs throughout Germany offer students the opportunity to live with a German family and study alongside German students.
ETC students studying in Germany are placed with a volunteer host family that will provide them with full-board in their home, as well as three meals. In addition, students are overseen by a local coordinator who ensures the students are safe and are adjusting well to their new life-style.
German high schools, or Gymnasiums, offer a variety of courses and are known for their academic excellence. There is a standard curriculum at all schools which includes the following compulsory subjects: German, History, Art/Music, Physical Education, Languages, and Sciences. School normally starts at 8:00 AM and finishes between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. In the afternoon, many students participate in after school activities in areas such as film projects, sports, computing, and sciences.
